Title: Multidimensional Innovations in Chinese Language Teaching Driven by Native Multimodal Large Language Models

Abstract: Since the end of 2025, native Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs)represented by the GPT-4o and Gemini series have achieved an upgrade from text generation to the real-time generation of images, audio, and video. For International Chinese Language Education, the instantaneous multimodal generation capabilities of MLLMs provide teachers with a methodology to break through the “triple dilemma” of difficult character recognition, challenging context creation, and complex cultural understanding. Focusing on four core content areas, Chinese characters, grammar, literature, and culture, this paper uses real-world classroom cases to illustrate how teachers utilize MLLMs to generate immediate, personalized instructional materials. It constructs a four-layer theoretical framework based on Multimodal Learning Theory, Cognitive Load Theory, Dual Coding Theory, and Embodied Cognition Theory to systematically interpret the underlying mechanisms of each case. Ultimately, this study provides a theoretical framework and case references for subsequent quantitative research.
